How to Use the World Clock Dashboard
Create a personalized dashboard to track time across the globe. This tool is designed to be your central hub for international time.
- 1. Add Clocks: Start typing a timezone in the "Region/City" format (e.g., "Europe/Paris" or "Asia/Dubai") into the input box. Select a valid timezone from the autocomplete list and press "Add Clock".
- 2. View Your Dashboard: The dashboard displays a card for each city you add, showing the current local time and date, updated every second.
- 3. Saved for You: Your custom list of clocks is automatically saved in your browser using local storage. The next time you visit on the same device, your dashboard will be exactly as you left it.
- 4. Remove a Clock: To remove a clock from your dashboard, simply click the "×" button on the top right of its card.
Frequently Asked Questions
How is my clock list saved?
This tool uses your browser's local storage to save your list of selected cities. This means your dashboard is private to you and will persist between visits on the same browser and device. Clearing your browser data (cache and cookies) will also clear your saved clocks.
Why can't I find my small city in the list?
The list is based on the official IANA (Internet Assigned Numbers Authority) Time Zone Database. This database uses a "Region/City" format and includes major, representative cities for each timezone around the world. If you cannot find your exact city, please select the nearest major city that is in the same timezone.
Does this account for Daylight Saving Time (DST)?
Yes. All times displayed are the current local time for each location, including any active Daylight Saving Time adjustments. The conversion is handled automatically, so you can be confident that the times are accurate year-round.
